
The government is taking steps to privatize the fuel supply infrastructure to foreign companies, threatening the country's independence. Member of Parliament Jayantha Samaraweera said.
He accused the government of only trying to intensify the fuel shortage crisis.
He mentioned the above while attending a press conference held at the office of the National Freedom Front in Colombo.
He further noted that the crisis situation originating in the fuel supply structure is intensifying day by day and not abating.

He said that when the economic crisis worsens, there will be a situation where we have to submit to the conditions of other countries, even if we don't want to.
