Participating in an event in Awissawella, he challenged the government to test its power in the presence of the people outside parliament, even though the government has passed the budget with a two-thirds majority.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the United People's Power would take action against this massive sale by the government which had misled the entire country and that the country was currently witnessing an auction government.
He said the government was not concerned about the situation, even when the people of the country were sighing with inability to eat, adding that all sectors of the country had been devastated.
