Today's protest took place in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station.
The strike was launched by the Ceylon Electricity Board United Trade Union Alliance (UEAA) in protest of the handing over of the country's national resources and power plant to a US company.
In this situation, it has been reported that the protesters have gone to the Presidential Secretariat and this has created tension in front of the Presidential Secretariat.
In this case, the two organizers of the protest went to the Presidential Secretariat to attend the talks
