The National State Television, which has been operating for more than 40 years, has been displaying its trilingual logo since February 22, removing its Tamil and English languages and displaying its logo only in Sinhala.
Employees of National Television and senior journalists who have worked for National Television from the beginning to the present have condemned the destruction of the identity of National Television by this process.
According to staff, National Television is suffering huge losses due to the lack of proper management by the new leader, Sonal Gunawardena.
Dallas Alagapperuma, a senior journalist who speaks out for racial reconciliation, is currently the Minister of Media, and senior journalists say the incident is worrying.
