Gunawardana said he thought that by quitting the authority, he could reveal the illegal activities in government institutions and give further benefit to the public.
He also said that he would submit all the information in this regard to the CID.
Dushan Gunawardana said on one occasion a ministry had requested the release of funds for a minister's political work and he refused to agree.
Gunawardana said he had warned the president in May of the threat posed by the replacement of the gas container butane and propane mixture, but no action had been taken
Gunawardana has also demanded that the government withdraw gas containers in the market until the test is conducted and the problem is resolved.
