Taham Sirisena , son of Sri Lanka Freedom Party leader and former president Maithripala Sirisena, has said he will run as a candidate for the next presidential election.
He said this while participating in a broadcast programme on a Sinhala television channel.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena is reportedly advancing political efforts aimed at bringing Taham Sirisena into the national political mainstream.
