"The government will not be in power for long- Ruwan Wijewardene

The United National Party (UNP) deputy leader Ruwan Wijewardene (UnP) said an opposition coalition comprising the United National Party, the United People's Power and other political parties would be formed next year.

He said this while addressing party functionaries in Monaragala district. He further commented on the occasion.

"The government will not be in power for long due to the contradictions within the present government.

There will be a political turn next year. We must be prepared for this change.

People in the united people's power are not our enemies. The common enemy is the government.  I am sure that a common alliance will be formed next year."he said
