China Has Described American Democracy As A Weapon Of Mass Destruction.

US President Joe Biden hosted a two-day e-conference on democracy. Leaders of various countries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed the gathering. China, Russia, Hungary and Sri Lanka did not attend the conference.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said democracy had become a "weapon of mass destruction" used by the United States to interfere in other countries' affairs.

He also accused the United States of seeking to divide countries on policy grounds, as it had during the Cold War.
