What Anura says about Chinese fertilizer compensation

People's Liberation Front Leader, Colombo District Parliament Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake insists the government not to pay even a single rupee from the public wealth of this country as compensation for China's small fertilizer ship.

The JVP leader also recalled that the government had insisted in various ways over the past that it would not pay for the Chinese fertilizer ship, but the JVP predicted in advance that it would pay for the money as it has built a lot of recurring transactions behind the deal.

Mr. A showed that the money that the government has decided to pay is public money.

No citizen of this country should be involved in importing small fertilizer from China or issuing letters of credit, the Mr. Mawland on Sunday.

Mr. A, who says the facts of the money deal were covered up and presented various false information to the country, said that the people's money should not be paid as compensation at all.

Mr. Dissanayake stressed that the decision to pay this compensation with public money should be stopped immediately while those who participated in this fraud and did this financial damage to the country are free.

He also said that at the moment there is a shortage of dollars to import essential commodities including milk powder, the government should act to punish all involved in this devastating act and should not allow public money to be used for this crime.
