The Cabinet has granted approval to obtain a short-term loan facility of USD 500 million through the Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank) to purchase petroleum products from India.
The proposal was presented by the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara considering the current economic state.
