A group of mostly American and British celebrities released a video in which they read out loud the genocide case against Israel to raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians in Gaza.
More than two dozen people – including actors, playwrights and singers – read aloud the case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice last week.
They included several stars from the hit movie Game of Thrones, including Charles Dance, Lena Heady, Liam Cunnigham, and Carice van Houten.
Others include Susan Sarandon, Steve Coogan, Tobias Menzies, and Tunde Adebimpe.
“It is important to place the acts of genocide in the broader context of Israel’s conduct against Palestinians during a 75-year apartheid, its 56-year belligerent occupation of Palestinian territory, and its 16-year-long blockade of Gaza, including serious and ongoing violations of international law,” said Dance.
