Three students of a private engineering college in Agra, Uttar Pradesh celebrated Pakistan's victory. They expressed their best wishes to the Pakistan team from their WhatsApp app.
Following this, the police arrested three students. Kaitana Shaukat Ahmed, Ar Shad Yusuf and Inayat Altaf, have also been booked for sedition.
Their families have requested the Uttar Pradesh state government to release the three Kashmiri students who were arrested at this stage. The parents of 3 students said:
Our children have been arrested and lodged in Agra Central Jail. We don't know what happened. We apologize on behalf of our children if they have done anything wrong.
They should be forgiven and released. Otherwise, we urge the Uttar Pradesh government that their future will be ruined.
