Najib's daughter: We will not rest until justice is served

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was sent to Kajang Prison outside Kuala Lumpur after the Malaysian Supreme Court upheld his conviction and sentence yesterday. There, he will have to serve 12 years in prison.

Meanwhile, Najib's daughter Nuryana Najwa (Picture: The Star) took to Instagram yesterday to learn that her father had been sentenced and sent to prison.

We might not have fought hard. We may have full faith in the Malaysian judiciary. But you (Najib) did not get justice today. You didn't get a chance to fight back. I assure you. He said that I, my mother, family and people will never rest until justice is served.

Meanwhile, Najib Razak reached Kajang Jail yesterday at around 6.10 pm following the Central Court's verdict.

Earlier, his vehicles were seen being diverted as they could not enter the prison premises. Many people were also seen gathering on the roadside near the entrance gate of the jail.
